KLYMIT HIGHLIGHTS: GIRL AND HER BACKPACK

The outdoors holds a special place in our hearts, and Klymit is proud to support and sponsor outdoor-minded nonprofits that help get people outside.

One of the programs that we are excited to highlight is Girl and Her Backpack, which is a Utah-based nonprofit organization for girls of all backgrounds that promotes personal-development through a collaborative and experiential learning environment.

Girl and Her Backpack offers several programs that help get women involved in the outdoor spaces. With activities like monthly hikes and volunteering opportunities, as well as backpacking trips and wilderness safety courses, these programs help build community, confidence, and leadership skills.

Girl and Her Backpack works towards…

  1. Making the outdoors more accessible to and inclusive of girls, specifically BIPOC girls and girls of non-traditional backgrounds.
  2. Providing girls with resources to live a healthier lifestyle and build rewarding relationships outside of the program
  3. Tearing down barriers in Utah that may prevent girls from building supportive, diverse, and inclusive friendships
  4. Helping girls realize their full-potential and unique abilities by increasing confidence and resources available to them
